MONTEVIDEO

R-Evolution Project residencies continue with the presentation of “Monster’s Sensuality” at Implosivo Artes Escénicas.

That of Camila Diamant (Uruguay), María Francisca Díaz González (Chile) and Andrea Melis (Italy) is a work of continuous questioning of each other’s identities and fragilities, a reflection on the contradictory relationship between the self that is daily proposed to the society in which we live and our most intimate and vulnerable dimension.

After an initial phase of remote work and thanks to the support of tutor German Weinberg, the work in progress Monster’s Sensuality was finally presented in the unconventional spaces offered by INAE and Implosivo Artes Escénicas, which hosted the artist residency from February 19th to 29th.

A stay enriched by the discovery of Montevideo, between walks in El Prado, performances at the Temporada Alta Festival and discussions with local professionals and artists around the theme of the R-Ev project “To resist is to create. To create is to resist.”

The residency has been made possible with the contribution of the Italian Cultural Institute of Montevideo.
