A cycle of virtual meetings between the 25 selected artists to get to know each other and share their experiences and artistic backgrounds.

The five virtual meetings organised by R-Evolution will be held from July 13th to August 3rd. In these the participating artists will have the opportunity to present themselves and confront each other, together with representatives of some of the project partners, with whom they will discuss different themes.

The topic of the first meeting, moderated by Mario Gelardi, artistic director of the Nuovo Teatro Sanità in Naples, was the concept of Theatre of Engagement proposed by Andy Lavander. A form of theatre in which the director aims to create a bond with the audience, involving them and making them actively participate in the performance, both physically and emotionally. These performances are therefore addressed to the society that is involved in the social and political process with the aim of unifying individuals.

The moderator of the second virtual meeting was Teresa Timpano, Italian actress and artistic director of the Compagnia Teatrale Scena Nuda, with whom the young creatives discussed the responsibility of the artist towards the new generation, especially for the fragile 10-19 age range, taking a cue from a report by the Italian journalist Paola Arosio about youth depression and from the poem “Oh Captain! My Captain!” by Walt Whitman.
