synopsis
Melos, a young Sicilian shepherd, after a failed attempt to kill King Nisus, is captured. Melos asks to postpone the execution of his death sentence for a few days in order to attend his sister’s wedding. The king agrees but on one condition: if Melos has not returned within three days, he will kill his best friend Nunzius.
