Sardegna Teatro hosts the second Italian residency of R-Ev 23-24, with a study on Ilona Staller, the hard-core icon who entered Parliament.

With the support of tutor Mario Gelardi, Caterina Filograno (Italy) and Raimundo Cosme (Portugal) have in recent months developed a project inspired by the emblematic figure of Ilona Staller, formerly known as Cicciolina, the first pornographic actress in the world to have been part of a national parliament. Initially titled Bub(m)bles, mi piaceva l’idea del Parlamento, the work in progress finally began to take shape during their first residency in Cagliari, held from June 8th to 15th, where the two artists deepened the work by retrieving autobiographical sources, confronting each other and outlining the conceptual map of what is meant to be a true tribute to a woman who made her body political, innovating the concept of modesty, love and free sexuality. The study, now entitled Dear Cicciolini, was then presented in the halls of the Pittaluga dance school in the presence of some representatives of the Sardegna Teatro collective.

Their next stop will be in Torres Vedras, a residency made possible with the contribution of the Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon.
