MONTEVIDEO

R-EVOLUTION CONTINUES ITS JOURNEY IN LATIN AMERICA AND MAKES A STOP IN MONTEVIDEO.

Hosted by the National Institute of Performing Arts – INAE Uruguay and followed by their mentor Ximena Echevarría, Elvira Buonocore, Nicolàs Lange, Clio Scira Saccà and Laura Stefanidis – remotely connected – worked on The Girl, the Stone and the Tank, organizing the ideas they had gathered in the previous months and reflecting on the concept of connection with the other.

Overcoming diversity, cultural differences and language barriers, finding in music a link between everyone’s stories, the project slowly took shape, finally assuming the form of a fragmented monologue, interrupted by the needs of three women who burst onto the scene with their fragilities, with the addition of some images, new but intimately linked to a common imagery, such as a dress, a stone, a distant face, a voice whispering in the ear, a throw repeated like an echo.

During the residency, held from January 25th to February 3rd, the group also shared its research with some Uruguayan students in a workshop held at Implosivo Artes Escénicas and participated in the Café INAE, a very interesting meeting on the theme of “artist residency”, a necessary experience for the growth of an artist.
