Newfound harmonies and dramaturgical insights in Naples, in one of the first collateral residencies.

Thanks to the support of Culture Moves Europe – funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and implemented by the Goethe Institut – Dario Rea (Italy) and Maher Msaddek (Tunisia) met for the first time at Putéca Celidònia‘s headquarters in Naples’ Rione Sanità, from May 14th to 20th, to deepen the work on their project Hide and Seek. The work-in-progress, which starts from the exploration of mourning and the issue of the Desaparecidos, investigates the condition of extreme hardship and loneliness experienced by some children in fragile and difficult contexts: children without parents, abandoned to themselves, forced to do terrible things, to lose their purity for a piece of bread and for which they are not to blame.

The next residency will be in Castrovillari, where Hide and Seek will be presented as part of the Primavera dei Teatri festival.
